ضمن مشروع PIONEER ، عملت UOSSM على تقديم الورشة التحضيرية في مديرية صحة حماة لاطلاق دراسة حول واقع الرعاية الصحية الاولية في المحافظة وقياس مدى الجاهزية وتلبية المنشآت لاحتياجات السكان. بعد دمشق، ريف دمشق، درعا، ودير الزور، محافظة حماة هي الخامسة التي ستدخل في هذه الدراسة، وذلك لبناء فهم افضل لواقع خدمات الرعاية الاولية وتحديد مسارات التحسين والنهوض بالواقع الصحي. . . . As part of the PIONEER project, UOSSM conducted a preparatory workshop at the Hama Health Directorate to launch a study on the state of primary healthcare in the governorate and assess the readiness and capacity of facilities to meet the needs of the population. Following Damascus, Rural Damascus, Daraa, and Deir Ezzor, Hama is the fifth governorate to be included in this study. بدعوة من اتحاد منظمات الإغاثة والرعاية الطبية (أوسوم)، زار وزير الاتصالات وتقانة المعلومات في الحكومة السورية، عبد السلام هيكل، ورشات عمل مؤتمر قمة أوسوم السنوي الأول للرعاية الصحية بجامعة دمشق. وكان في استقباله، إلى جانب رئاسة جامعة دمشق، د. منذر يازجي، رئيس أوسوم أميركا، ورئيس لجنة الرعاية الصحية الأولية في أوسوم. وشارك الوزير هيكل في جانب من ورشات العمل في اليوم الثالث لأعمال المؤتمر، متفاعلاً مع أسئلة الأطباء المشاركين في قضايا التحول الرقمي في الرعاية الصحية، والطبابة عن بُعد، وسلامة المعلومات، فضلاً عن مستقبل البنية الرقمية الطبية. يُذكر أن أوسوم أسّست وشغّلت، منذ تأسيسها مطلع عام 2012، نحو 15 مركزاً للرعاية الصحية في شمال وشمال غرب سوريا، فضلاً عن إطلاقها عشرات العيادات المتنقلة في مجتمعات النازحين داخلياً والمناطق صعبة الوصول . . . ‏At the invitation of the Union of Medical Care and Relief Organizations (UOSSM), the Syrian Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdulsalam Haykal, visited the workshops of UOSSM 1st Annual Syria Primary Care Summit 2025, held at the University of Damascus. ‏He was received by the University Administration along with Dr. Monzer Yazji, President of UOSSM USA and chairman of the Primary Healthcare Committee at UOSSM. ‏Minister Haykal participated in part of the workshops on the third day of the conference, engaging with physicians’ questions regarding digital transformation in healthcare, telemedicine, information security, and the future of digital medical infrastructure. ‏It is worth noting that since its founding in early 2012, UOSSM has established and operated around 15 primary healthcare centers in northern and northwestern Syria, in addition to launching dozens of mobile clinics in internally displaced communities and hard-to-reach areas. #UOSSM #منظمة_أوسوم #damascus #healthcare #health

قام وفد من اتحاد منظمات الإغاثة والرعاية الطبية (UOSSM) بزيارة إلى جامعة دمشق لاستكشاف سبل التعاون الأكاديمي بين المؤسستين. ترأس الوفد رئيس الاتحاد، الدكتور أنس الكسم، وكان برفقته كل من الدكتور منذر يازجي، الدكتور خالد شمس الدين، الدكتور خالد دياب، والدكتور إبراهيم زكريا. من جانب جامعة دمشق، حضر الاجتماع كل من الدكتور محمد أسامة الجبان (عضو لجنة تسيير الأعمال)، الدكتور صبحي البحري (عميد كلية الطب البشري)، الدكتور خلدون درويش (عميد كلية طب الأسنان)، الدكتور يوسف لطيفة (نائب عميد كلية الطب البشري)، الدكتورة أميرة النور (مديرة مركز ضمان الجودة)، والدكتور عماد الدين الأيوبي (مدير المدينة الجامعية). وخلال الزيارة، اقترح اتحاد منظمات الإغاثة والرعاية الطبية التعاون مع جامعة كوينز في كندا لتعزيز التعليم الطبي، لا سيما في تخصصات الدراسات العليا والتمريض. واتفق الطرفان على توقيع مذكرة تفاهم لتقييم نظام التعليم الطبي الحالي، بما في ذلك مناهج طلاب الطب في السنوات الأخيرة وبرامج التدريب للدراسات العليا. كما اقترحوا إجراء تحليل للفجوات في كليات التمريض. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، اقترح الوفد إنشاء برنامج وطني لزراعة الكلى، وأوصى بتشكيل لجنة علمية تضم الوزارة والمؤسسات ذات الصلة لتنسيق هذه الجهود. #UOSSM #منظمة_أوسوم #medical #damascus

A delegation from the Union of Medical Relief and Healthcare Organizations (UOSSM) visited Damascus University to explore ways the two institutions can work together academically. The delegation was led by UOSSM’s President, Dr. Anas Al-Kasem, accompanied by Dr. Monzer Yazji, Dr. Khaled Shamseddine, Dr. Khaled Diab, and Dr. Ibrahim Zakaria. From Damascus University, the meeting included Dr. Mohammad Osama Al-Jaban (Steering Committee Member), Dr. Sobhi Al-Bahri (Dean, Faculty of Medicine), Dr. Khaldoun Darwish (Dean, Faculty of Dentistry), Dr. Youssef Latifa (Vice Dean, Faculty of Medicine), Dr. Amira Al-Noor (Director, Quality Assurance Center), and Dr. Imad Al-Din Al-Ayyoubi (Director, University City). During their visit, UOSSM proposed collaborating with Queen’s University in Canada to enhance #medical #education, particularly for postgraduate and nursing specializations. Both parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding to assess the current medical education system, including curricula for senior medical students and postgraduate training. They also suggested a gap analysis for nursing schools. قصة نجاح: إنقاذ الطفلة قمر من خطر الاختناق في يوم عصيب، وصلت الطفلة قمر نضال الحسن، ذات الخمسة أعوام، إلى قسم الإسعاف في مشفى الأندلس وهي تعاني من ضائقة تنفسية حادة، بعد أن ابتلعت بالخطأ قطعة نقدية من فئة 5 ليرات. كانت اللحظات الأولى حاسمة، حيث سارع الفريق الطبي إلى تقديم الإسعافات الأولية وإنعاشها وفق الأصول الطبية، ليتم بعدها نقلها مباشرة إلى غرفة العمليات. تحت إشراف الدكتور جمعة جراد، وبمشاركة فريق التخدير والفني حمزة حشوم، خضعت الطفلة للتخدير، وتمكن الأطباء بمهارة ودقة من استخراج القطعة النقدية بنجاح. وبعد العملية، خرجت قمر من غرفة العمليات وهي بحالة صحية مستقرة، لتبقى تحت المراقبة الطبية لمدة ساعتين، قبل أن يُسمح لها بالعودة إلى منزلها وهي بصحة جيدة. كانت هذه الحادثة تجربة مليئة بالتحدي، لكنها انتهت بنجاح بفضل الجهود الطبية، لتعود قمر إلى عائلتها بسلام، محاطة بالرعاية والاطمئنان. إنه إنجاز طبي جديد يُضاف إلى سجل مشفى الأندلس في إنقاذ الأرواح والاستجابة السريعة للحالات الطارئة. . . Success Story: Rescuing Qamar from the Danger of Choking On a critical day, Qamar Nidal Al-Hassan, a five-year-old girl, arrived at the emergency department of Al-Andalus Hospital suffering from severe respiratory distress after accidentally swallowing a 5-lira coin. The first moments were crucial, as the medical team quickly administered first aid and resuscitation following proper medical protocols before transferring her directly to the operating room. Under the supervision of Dr. Jumaa Jarad, and with the participation of the anesthesia team and technician Hamza Hashoum, the young girl was placed under anesthesia. With skill and precision, the doctors successfully extracted the coin. After the procedure, Qamar was moved out of the operating room in stable condition and remained under medical observation for two hours before being discharged home in good health. This incident was a challenging experience, but it ended successfully thanks to the dedication of the medical team. Qamar returned safely to her family, surrounded by care and reassurance.
