I'm a specialist in research and policy development in the fields of industrial relations and management. My particular areas of expertise are workplace democracy, partnership forms of industrial relations and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
My book on the relationship between CSR and economic democracy, entitled
Repoliticizing Management: A Theory of Corporate Legitimacy, was published by the UK academic press Ashgate in 2005. My PhD thesis focused on theoretical approaches to industrial relations and the employment relationship.
I'm currently a partner in Public World, a London-based nonprofit research and consultancy organisation, where I works on labour and employment-related projects. My clients include the UK and New Zealand governments and several global union federations. I have recently also been appointed as an adjunct professor by Webster University, Geneva, where I will be teaching a postgraduate course in Labour-Management Relations.
