I am the Network Relationship Manager for AKAD Business in Zurich, Switzerland. My main tasks are the strategic design, implementation, and maintenance of social media channels, as well as teaching the importance of social media to my colleagues, our business partners and students. The AKAD brand is one of the most renowned brands in the Swiss education landscape, and more than 100,000 students received their AKAD certificates, diplomas, and degrees since its formation in 1956.
Prior to joining AKAD Business in 2008, I worked for Apple Switzerland in Zurich, Switzerland, as a Solution Consultant. Being an ambassador of the Apple brand in the greater Zurich-area, taught me how to communicate and interact with consumers and sales force in a fast-paced environment.
While in my last year of International Management studies at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, I was project manager for Focus India and in charge for planning, organizing, and supervising the Focus India business seminar in Bangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai.
Before joining the Focus India project team in 2006, I spent two semesters at Kansai Gaidai University in Japan and learned that social media and niche marketing are the key ingredients for any brand to succeed in our flat world. I hold a Bachelor of Science in International Management from the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland and a diploma in Asian Studies from Kansai Gaidai Univerisity, Japan.
When I'm not online or talking about social media, I play bass and ukulele and share videos of my video-songs on my YouTube channel. Also, I write a blog on music and the new marketing and am a Jules Verne fan.
